The London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene after the service was called at 4.29am today (February 27).
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager,” a LAS spokesperson said.
“Our first medic arrived on scene in five minutes [but] very sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

British Transport Police (BTP) had also attended and found a person suffering “extensive injuries”.
A man was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Sam Blackburn of the BTP said this was an “unprovoked and despicable attack”.
