Pub gardens will be packed with thirsty punters today, in pursuit of ice-cold drinks and a slice of sunshine.

The question of where to while away a summer’s day around Bromley can be a difficult one, with a choice of bars, pub patios and pretty restaurant terraces nearby. 

We’ve put together a list of some of our favourite beer gardens below.

Imperial Arms

The Imperial Arms is a family run gastropub and the original Coach House dating back to 1779.

There is a paved courtyard garden featuring stunning plants and foliage as well as seating at the front of the building. 

The pub has a wide range of well-kept real ales that you can enjoy in the wonderful outside space.

The George

This child-friendly pub in the heart of Hayes is a beautiful spot to enjoy the last of the summer.

With a courtyard to the front and rear there’s lots of space for little ones to roam as well as an extensive menu in case you’re peckish. 

The Oak

The Oak’s garden is an ideal place to catch up with those in your bubble over a Pimms. 

The fully decked garden has ample seating with parasols to give you some shade from the forecast sun. 

The Shortlands Tavern

This quirky and slightly eccentric pub has a gorgeous garden that has been well loved and looked after, making it the perfect place to enjoy a summer’s day. 

The garden is great for friends and families with little ones as there’s lots of space to run around. 

The White Bear

Under a 20 minute drive from Bromley train station sits the most quintessentially British pub, The White Bear.

The perfect spot for a sunny summer day with its extensive lawn, outdoor seating and there’s also a terrace.

Loved by horse riders, cyclists and walkers alike this is the ideal bank holiday country pub.
