A building providing a reminder of the past in Loughton, Essex

Dated around 1910, the photo above from Loughton shows the old post office site on the left dating back to 1840.

It moved to a new site in Forest Road around 1908.

By 1931 the post office was in the High Road in the building now known as a pub called The Last Post.

This Is Local London: The building survives to this dayThe building survives to this day

Thankfully this building still survives as a reminder of Loughton’s past.
